How to Set a BOT in Your Blaxxun World

If you have wondered how some of the Blaxxun worlds stay online and in the Worlds List but never seem to have anyone in them then this is your tutorial.

These worlds are occupied by Blaxxun BOTS. In simple terms a BOT is an open connection between the owner of the world's computer and the server that the world is hosted on. And the good news it that they are really easy to set.

There are a few givens tho. You have to leave your computer on and you have to leave the small Java program running in the background. If you turn the computer or the Java program off then your BOT is no longer in your world. But other than that it's no big deal.

To start the program go to http://www.anonim.info/blaxxun/. A web site will open with the title Java Web Start. You will see a bulleted list of 5 icons.

Click on the second one (blue) and a small window will open. You may be asked to install the program - you will need to say yes and install it to use the "Guardian" (the BOT). Once the Java program is installed the small window will ask you to "Enter a bxx scene URL or select a scene from the list:" (if this is the first time you've use it there won't be anything in the list for you to select).

What it is asking for is the complete location of the "ccpro.bxx" file for your world. Usually it's in the same folder as the main index and wrl files. You will need to enter the complete URL starting with "http" and ending with the "bxx" file. If you used the "multiuser.zip" files then the name of that file is probably still "ccpro.bxx".

Once you do this you will see a connection and a chat window open. You won't be able to see your world but you will be able to monitor chat.

So keep this in mind the next time you enter a world with a Guardian BOT. :)
